Week 4 – Bringing It All Together
LEARN TO READ AURAS WITH PSYCHIC SISTERS
WEEK 4 – READING AURAS WITH CONFIDENCE
“Congratulations on reaching the final week of your Aura Reading journey. You now have the knowledge and practical skills to begin reading auras with confidence. Remember, intuition is like a muscle – the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.”
Jayne Wallace
Welcome to Week Four
Welcome to the final week of Learn to Read Auras with Psychic Sisters.
Over the past three weeks, you’ve explored the fascinating world of energy, colour and intuition.
You’ve learned what an aura is, explored the seven layers of the aura, practised sensing energy, experimented with soft-focus techniques, discovered the meanings of aura colours and begun learning how your own intuition communicates with you.
Now it’s time to bring everything together.
This week you are going to learn how to conduct a complete aura reading from beginning to end.
The most important thing to remember is that aura reading is not about frightening someone, predicting their future or proving how intuitive you are.
It is about creating a positive, compassionate experience that may encourage reflection, self-awareness and personal growth.
Every reading will be different.
Sometimes you may notice colours clearly.
Other times you may receive:
-
Feelings
-
Emotions
-
Words
-
Images
-
Symbols
-
Physical sensations
-
Memories
-
A simple sense of knowing
There is no single “correct” way to experience an aura.
Your job is to notice what comes naturally, interpret it with care and communicate it with kindness.
Learning Objectives

Lesson 1 – Preparing Yourself for a Reading
Every reading begins with you.
Before you try to tune into another person, take a few moments to become calm, centred and present.
If you are distracted, rushed or emotionally overwhelmed, it may be more difficult to focus on your intuitive impressions.
Before Every Reading
Take a few quiet moments.
1. Remove Distractions
Turn off your phone or put it on silent.
Make sure you have enough time so you don’t feel rushed.
2. Ground Yourself
Place both feet firmly on the floor.
Take three slow breaths.
Imagine roots extending from the soles of your feet deep into the earth.
Feel yourself becoming calm and centred.
3. Protect Your Energy
If this is part of your spiritual practice, visualise a beautiful white or golden light surrounding you.
Imagine yourself within a calm, peaceful and protected space.
4. Set Your Intention
You might quietly say:
“May this reading bring clarity, kindness and helpful guidance for the highest good.”
Or simply:
“I am open to receiving clear, positive and helpful impressions.”
Your intention helps remind you that the reading should always come from a place of compassion.
Lesson 2 – Permission and Boundaries
Before reading someone’s aura, always ask permission.
Aura reading should be a respectful and positive experience.
You could simply ask:
“Would you be happy for me to practise an aura reading with you?”
Explain that you are developing your skills and that they are welcome to give feedback afterwards.
Never pressure somebody into having a reading.
If they say no, respect their decision.
Remember
A person always has the right to:
-
Decline a reading
-
Stop a reading
-
Choose not to answer a question
-
Disagree with your interpretation
-
Keep personal information private
Being intuitive does not mean ignoring boundaries.
Lesson 3 – Creating the Right Environment
You do not need an elaborate spiritual space to give a good aura reading.
A quiet, comfortable environment is enough.
You may choose to include:
-
Soft lighting
-
Comfortable chairs
-
Natural daylight
-
Fresh air
-
A candle, where safe
-
Crystals
-
Gentle instrumental music
-
A calming fragrance
Some people enjoy working with crystals such as:
Clear Quartz
Traditionally associated with clarity and intention.
Amethyst
Often connected with calmness and intuition.
Selenite
Traditionally used in spiritual practices for cleansing and clarity.
Smoky Quartz
Often associated with grounding.
These are optional.
You do not need any tools to read an aura.
Your awareness and intuition are the most important parts of the practice.
Lesson 4 – The Complete Aura Reading
Now we are going to put everything you’ve learned into a simple reading structure.
Think of your reading as six stages:
PREPARE – CONNECT – OBSERVE – SENSE – INTERPRET – SHARE
STEP 1 – PREPARE
Ground yourself.
Take several slow breaths.
Set your intention.
Make sure the person you are reading is comfortable.
Try to release any expectations about what you think you should see or feel.
Begin with an open mind.
STEP 2 – CONNECT
Invite the person to sit comfortably.
Ask them to take a few slow breaths.
Spend a moment quietly becoming aware of their presence.
Do not analyse yet.
Simply ask yourself:
“What is my very first impression?”
It might be:
-
A colour
-
A feeling
-
A word
-
An emotion
-
An image
-
A temperature
-
A sense of calm or excitement
Make a mental note of that first impression.
STEP 3 – OBSERVE
Begin by gently observing the person.
Notice:
-
Posture
-
Facial expression
-
Breathing
-
Overall energy
-
The space around their head and shoulders
-
Whether their energy feels expansive or contained
Use the soft-focus technique you learned in Week Two.
Do not stare.
Relax your gaze and allow your awareness to broaden.
STEP 4 – SENSE
Now begin noticing any intuitive information that arises.
You may experience:
Colour
Which colour appears strongest?
Is there more than one?
Brightness
Does the colour feel:
-
Bright
-
Pale
-
Deep
-
Muted
-
Clear
-
Cloudy
Movement
Does the aura seem to:
-
Expand
-
Contract
-
Pulse
-
Ripple
-
Move
-
Remain still
Sensation
Do you notice:
-
Warmth
-
Coolness
-
Tingling
-
Pressure
-
Lightness
-
Heaviness
Emotion
Does the energy make you feel:
-
Calm
-
Happy
-
Excited
-
Reflective
-
Sensitive
-
Restless
Intuition
Do any:
-
Words
-
Images
-
Symbols
-
Memories
-
Ideas
come into your mind?
Write down or remember your first impressions before you begin analysing them.
STEP 5 – INTERPRET
Now bring everything together.
Imagine you notice:
Blue around the shoulders
You might think about:
-
Communication
-
Calmness
-
Truth
-
Emotional expression
But then perhaps you intuitively feel that the person is holding something back.
Instead of simply saying:
“Blue means calm.”
You could interpret the whole impression:
“I’m noticing blue energy around you. Blue is often associated with communication and truth, but I also have a sense that there may be something you haven’t fully expressed yet.”
This is where aura reading becomes more than memorising colours.
You are combining:
Colour + Location + Feeling + Intuition
STEP 6 – SHARE
Share what you have noticed gently.
Use language such as:
“I’m sensing…”
“I’m noticing…”
“The feeling I’m getting is…”
“The colour that keeps coming through for me is…”
“I wonder whether this resonates with you…”
This leaves room for the person to interpret the reading for themselves.
Avoid saying:
“This definitely means…”
or:
“I know exactly what is happening.”
Aura reading should be a conversation, not a performance.
Lesson 5 – How to Structure a Full Reading
You can use this simple structure every time you practise.
1. First Impression
What did you notice immediately?
2. Main Aura Colour
What colour feels strongest?
3. Additional Colours
Are there secondary colours?
4. Colour Intensity
Bright, pale, deep or muted?
5. Aura Size
Does the energy feel expansive or close to the body?
6. Aura Movement
Still, pulsing, flowing or changing?
7. Emotional Impression
How does their energy make you feel?
8. Intuitive Information
Did you receive any words, symbols, images or feelings?
9. Overall Message
What is the main positive theme you would like to communicate?
Lesson 6 – Reading With Compassion
The language you use during a reading is extremely important.
Imagine you sense someone feels emotionally exhausted.
Rather than saying:
“Your aura is dark and full of negative energy.”
You could say:
“I’m sensing that you may have been carrying quite a lot recently. Your energy feels as though it could benefit from some rest, space and time for yourself.”
Both statements may come from a similar initial impression.
But one frightens.
The other supports.
Jayne’s Tip
“People remember how you make them feel. Always deliver your reading with kindness. You are there to offer insight, never fear.”
Lesson 7 – The Ethics of Aura Reading
Responsible aura readers work with kindness, honesty and respect.
Always:
-
Ask permission
-
Respect boundaries
-
Keep readings confidential
-
Use supportive language
-
Be honest when you are unsure
-
Encourage personal choice
-
Allow someone to disagree
-
Keep the reading positive and constructive
Never use an aura reading to:
-
Frighten someone
-
Control their decisions
-
Make medical diagnoses
-
Make psychological diagnoses
-
Claim absolute certainty
-
Tell someone something terrible will happen
-
Make someone dependent on you
Aura reading should leave someone feeling more empowered, not less.
Lesson 8 – What If You’re Wrong?
This is one of the biggest fears beginners have.
What happens if the person says:
“That doesn’t resonate with me.”
The answer is simple.
Accept it.
You might say:
“That’s absolutely fine. It was simply the impression I received.”
You do not need to convince them.
You do not need to change their mind.
And you certainly do not need to panic.
Every practice reading teaches you something.
Jayne’s Tip
“Never force a message to fit. If something doesn’t resonate, let it go. Developing intuition is about learning to recognise what comes through clearly and what may simply be your own thoughts.”
Lesson 9 – When You Doubt Yourself
Every intuitive reader experiences doubt.
Even experienced readers sometimes question what they perceive.
You might think:
“Did I imagine that colour?”
“Was that really intuition?”
“What if I’m wrong?”
This is why your Aura Journal is so important.
Write down your impression before receiving feedback.
Over time, you will begin recognising patterns.
You may discover that you are particularly good at sensing:
-
Colours
-
Emotions
-
Personality
-
Symbols
-
Energy changes
-
Atmosphere
Your strongest intuitive pathway may be different from somebody else’s.
That is perfectly fine.
Lesson 10 – Protecting and Grounding Your Energy Afterwards
After completing a reading, take a few moments to return your attention to yourself.
You may choose to:
-
Take several slow breaths
-
Stretch
-
Wash your hands
-
Drink water
-
Step outside
-
Walk in nature
-
Visualise yourself surrounded by white light
-
Hold a grounding crystal
-
Sit quietly for a few minutes
You might also quietly say:
“The reading is complete. I release anything that is not mine and return fully to my own energy.”
Think of this as a simple way of mentally closing your practice session.
Practical Exercise – Your First Complete Aura Reading
Choose a trusted friend or family member.
Ask permission before beginning.
Allow approximately 15–20 minutes.
Before the Reading
-
Ground yourself
-
Take three slow breaths
-
Set your intention
-
Clear your mind
During the Reading
Record:
First impression:
Main aura colour:
Secondary colour:
Colour intensity:
Aura size:
Movement:
Emotional impression:
Physical sensations:
Words, symbols or images:
Overall intuitive message:
Once you have completed your notes, share your reading.
Then ask:
“What resonated with you?”
Listen to their feedback without trying to defend or change your interpretation.
Feedback is an opportunity to learn, not a test you have to pass.
Building Your Confidence
Confidence comes through practice.
You do not need to suddenly become perfect because you have completed four weeks.
Your development is only beginning.
Continue to:
-
Practise regularly
-
Keep your Aura Journal
-
Meditate
-
Spend time in nature
-
Observe colour

Never frighten somebody
-
Listen as much as you speak
-
Keep readings confidential

Never become attached to being “right”
-
Allow your own reading style to develop
-
Keep learning
-
Every person you read can teach you something
Common Beginner Mistakes
Trying to Impress Someone
You do not need to produce dramatic information.
Subtle impressions are valuable too.
Speaking Too Quickly
Give yourself time to feel and think.
Silence is perfectly acceptable during a reading.
Forgetting to Ground Yourself
Take a moment before and after each practice session.
Becoming Attached to Being Right
A reading is an exploration, not an examination.
Changing Your First Impression
Record what arrived first before analysing it.
Reading When You’re Exhausted
If you feel tired, distracted or emotionally overwhelmed, practise another time.
Giving Too Much Information
Sometimes less is more.
Focus on the strongest impressions.
Week 4 Homework
Complete three full aura readings during the week.
Try to read three different people if possible.
After each reading, write down:
-
What came naturally?
-
Which colour appeared first?
-
What was my strongest intuitive impression?
-
What challenged me?
-
What feedback did I receive?
-
What surprised me?
-
What would I do differently next time?
-
How confident did I feel?
After your third reading, compare it with your first.
Notice how much you have developed.
Final Aura Reading Assessment
Choose one person and complete a full reading from beginning to end without looking at your course notes.
Remember:
Prepare
Connect
Observe
Sense
Interpret
Share
Afterwards, reflect on your experience.
Ask yourself:
-
What came naturally?
-
What did I notice first?
-
Which part did I enjoy most?
-
Where did I hesitate?
-
Did I trust my intuition?
-
What feedback did I receive?
-
What would I like to develop next?
Final Course Reflection
Write approximately one page answering:
What have I learned about auras?
How has my intuition developed?
Which exercise helped me the most?
How do I naturally experience energy – seeing, feeling, sensing or knowing?
Which aura colours do I find easiest to interpret?
What has surprised me most?
What would I like to continue developing?
How will I continue using what I have learned?
Final Quiz
1. Why is grounding useful before a reading?
2. Should aura readings empower or frighten people?
-
Empower
-
Frighten
3. Name three ways you can ground yourself after a reading.
4. Why should you avoid making absolute statements during a reading?
5. True or False
You need to see vivid colours to give a meaningful aura reading.
-
True
-
False
6. What should you do if an impression does not resonate with the person?
7. Should you ask permission before reading somebody’s aura?
-
Yes
-
No
8. What are the six stages of a complete aura reading?
9. What is more important – impressing someone or delivering your impressions compassionately?
10. What is one thing you will continue practising after this course?
